The Dr. A.E Perry School Community Council (also known as SCC) is a group of interested parents, school staff, students and community members who work together with the principal to support the students of the school.
Any parent and/or community member can join the group.
We typically meet once a month in the evening.
We learn what activities are taking place at Dr. A.E Perry.
We suggest ways we can support the learning and community.
Plan and host different events at the school (ie. pizza night, craft show etc).
Work with staff, teacher etc to ensure Dr. A.E. Perry is a great place.
Fundraisingfor school community needs not funded by the Regina School Board.
Provide volunteer and financial support for projects set by the SCC, representing the Dr. A. E. Perry community.
Facilitate continuing communication and promote mutual understanding between the school and the community.
Share responsibility for the learning success and the well-being of all pupils.
Encourage and facilitate parent and community engagement in school planning and improvement processes.
Provide an ongoing organization that will help listen to and communicate the opinions, concerns and proposals of the electors (city ratepayers) and parents/guardians.
Ensure these concerns and proposals are brought to the attention of the Board of Education.
